I first remember playing this game when I was at School, due to this was really the start of the boom for computers, its strange with all the technology nowadays that I still remember this Game Cannon Fodder among so many other games recent and past.
For this game basically if you played the first game your know what I’m talking about, that you basically get sent on basic missions and have names of the war characters (eg the fighters sent on the missions) which basically is a dot on the screen but you become to really like certain characters and want them to survive so you portray different tactics.
You can choose to either take the whole team of fighters all together or take off individually, what I enjoyed doing is having one character to go off and try and kill as many as possible and let the other team hide in a safe place, but be careful if you leave your team behind and a so called baddy finds them, all will be killed as your not controlling them.
I used to love seeing how each person is doing and when they die get a buried on the hill and depends on how good and how many kills they had on what kind of buried they get, its such a addictive game, and I was gutted when I think
I had it on my Spectrum or Amiga.
I feel that if your into shoot them up games and like to see how computers started off making games have a go at this, as this I feel had a big influence on how technology improved and have made the war games or similar of nowadays like Gears of war, Grand theft auto but using updated advanced technology.
I truly believe that this game is one of the best games around both old fashioned games and advanced games, I will be downloading all the cannon fodder games off of this site when I get a chance to and I highly recommend you to do so as well, as its very easy to use, using your mousepad and clicking on what characters want to go off and its fun to see how many characters you can complete missions with.
Can you be a success with one fighter? Or will you have to sacrifice a whole army to achieve, the missions needed? That’s what feel is so good with, can vary on what tactics you use also doesn’t matter on age of player or age of.
Hope this helps you all to be persuaded to get this game.
