Game Review (written by Airfats1) Added on: 01/16/2007
What can I say...I have very good memories about this game. You are this Greek identity (won't say who), that wants to gain power. Almost sounds like God of War for the PS2 doesn't it. This game was the first side scroller I played there was actually fun and cool to see and listen too. One of the first things I remember was the original sound track. I don't know who wrote it, but it was one of the coolest themes. You here a voice in the back ground saying "Into the Wonderful".

I’ve never played the game on an Amiga, it was a ATari STe computer system, so I can't comment on the Amiga,

but on the Atari STe it was very vibrant and rich textures. Very smooth animation from your muscle bound, Greek freak that you play to the monsters that are very cool and seem to almost have a little bit of tactical AI in them. They would run from you and take cover behind things it seemed. The weapons were awesome...Getting axes, knives, swords, throwing weapons. Everything is very nicely animated when used also. I believe they made a version of this game for the Sega Genisis back in 1993 but don't play it.
Comparing to the original game is like comparing a fools gold to real gold. They changed the music and a lot of the in game graphics. Not to say, that most of the game-play wasn't the same, but the Genisis didn't have the colour pallet I guess that the computer had and couldn't recreate a lot of the smooth mirror like quality of most of the games graphics. So if you are looking for a fun and addictive game for your computer, get this one, it is one of my all time classics and one of my best memories in my gaming history thus far.
Also if anyone can find them, there were 2 more games that I am looking for that game out from independent gaming companies. I don't know the companies names, but one of them made a crazy game that was called Llama Kombat. In which you were a Llama that killed people in a weird type of fighting gaming and obvious ripp off of Mortal Kombat. Then there was another one that was a side scroller and it was about this guy walking around in a post WW3 era shooting things and people that got in his way.
