Game Review (written by Bloodfeud93) Added on: 02/26/2007
You’re playing as G. I. ant, a large soldier ant, who has to help your friend, 'Colin Curly' (who was the mascot for Smiths Quavers, who sponsored the game), who lost his packet of quavers when he tripped and they fell down in to an ant hill. Now you have to complete a series of puzzles to retrieve the quavers for Colin.
In every level, your goal is to rearrange the Dominoes, so that you can knock over all the dominoes in one push.
But it's not as easy as it sounds. There are many ways you can fail a level. There are 100 levels ranging in difficulty. You must collect a total of 10 quavers packets for Colin Curly, you get one every time you complete 10 levels. After you complete level, you receive a token that you can use after you push the dominoes, which will take you back to before the push so you don't have to start the level again.
There are also different varieties of dominoes that can do different things. You can tell the different types from the red and yellow patter on them.
There is the standard yellow domino that is very common and just falls over when pushed.
A Stopper, which is all red and can't be pushed over, this can be used to rebound other dominoes of it. These are the only dominoes that do not need to be pushed over to complete the level.
The Delay, a domino that will hesitate to fall over after a domino hits it and can also rebound dominoes.
The Ascender, a domino that floats up until it hits the bottom of a ledge.
A Bridger, when this domino falls onto an open ledge it closes it in so that it can be walked across.
An Exploder, when this is hit it will explode, making a gap in the floor.
A vanisher, these dominoes will disappear as soon as they hit the ground after being pushed.
A Splitter, this domino will divide in half after it hits the ground.
A Tumbler, when this domino is pushed, it rolls along the ground until it hits another domino in its path, and the Trigger. This is probably the most important domino. To win the level, you must rearrange the dominos so that the Trigger falls last. Some levels may even have multiple Trigger dominoes.
I used to play this game all the time on the Amiga. So I would recommend this game to anyone. I give this game 8/10.
