Game Review (written by Waptor) Added on: 12/04/2006
Where do I begin with Frogger? I don't believe I could tell you what it was like to first play the game, since I was probably in diapers. I do, however, have many fond memories of spending many mind numbing afternoons trying to get the little green dot across the road before getting smashed by multiple moving BIG dots.
The music will always be embedded into my brain. The music occasionally loops in my head when I'm asleep or in Chem. Lab... Every bit as addicting as the finest games in the present day.
Sure, it is repetitive, but no matter how good you are, you'll never run out of roads to cross.
In many ways, the Frog represents life. No matter how many roads you cross, there are always more to cross. Sometimes the cars are faster and you gotta pump those little legs to get across, and other times you just sit there and watch them slowly creep by. God bless the Frogger creators, for they are certainly philosophers of our day.
One day, my precious boot box chock full of games was stolen, and my heart was shattered. I've downloaded many ROMS of frogger, played many crappy reincarnations, but nothing will ever bring back those days on my Grandma's floor with my cousin Lee watching this little

frog leap around and occasionally get mashed.
Sure, the game was primitive, buggy, and a little bit dull after three hours, but how I love this game. It deserves every bit as much recognition as Super Mario 3 or Grand Theft Auto for changing the way games were played. It must not have come out more than 6 years after pong, and the concept was so original and wacky. I mean, who sits around designing a video game about a frog getting run over by trucks? A genius.
