Galaga is an arcade shooter game where you will be in control of a space ship that is attempting to kill all the aliens that resemble insects, which are flying in certain formations above your space ship. Your ship only has the capability to move right and left to avoid the aliens that are flying down at you in attempt to destroy your ship.
Your main goal in the game is to get rid of the entire insect like aliens that are in the formation above you.
Once you have destroyed all of them you will then be taken to the next level where the formation will be a little more difficult then the previous one. The game ends if you are destroyed or captured by aliens. Galaga has become part of the Galaxian sequel. Galaga differs from the previous game in several different ways. The first way that the game differs is that now when you are shooting the shots will appear simultaneously. During game play the aliens will go join the formation in groups that you have the ability to shoot at while they are doing this. Later on in the game the extra aliens will be able to dive down at you. There
has been an addition of a bonus stage, which can be quite complicated. There are a few more new features to the game, but you will just have to play the game to find out what they are.
The game can become quite difficult the further along in the game you get. With the addition of big bosses that have the ability to capture you there is more things you must worry about. Instead of just being shot at by the aliens now you’ll have to worry about that. Overall the game starts off nice and simple, but once you carry on it the game you will start to have a very challenging experience. The graphical detail that goes along with the game is not over dramatic. The game resembles the regular arcade like artistic appeal. The aliens have been done with various colors, which gives a better appeal. Over all the graphics are minimal, but suit the game play quite well.
Galaga can be an overly addicted game right off the bat. With the game not having too many aspects towards it you wouldn’t expect the game to be as exciting as it is. Galaga is a phenomenal game in many aspects. With the addition of new features then the previous game that is apart of the sequel you will surely love this game. Galaga is a great arcade game that all ages will love to play for many years to come.
