Ghostbusters is an action adventure game based on the very popular film. You will play the characters that are out busting ghosts who have been haunting areas. To do this you will use a nuclear accelerated protons pack and traps to capture them. After you have captured the ghosts you must secure them into a storage facility. The game takes place in New York City and it is slowly being over run by these very haunting ghosts. Your goal is to lower the amount of ghosts before the Temple of Zuul is awoken and resurrects the evil goddess Gozer.
As the player you will be directly the entire Ghostbusters crew around the New York City map. When you become aware of a ghost alarm you will have to decide a route to take to get to that location quickly. You will take on the controls of the vehicle and drive through the streets till you come to the location in need of assistance. When you have reached the location the view of the game will switch to a side scrolling view where two of the Ghostbusters will be seen taking position with their proton packs and a trap, you will then try to get the ghost above the trap to capture him. When you have captured ghosts you will
earn money, which is able to be used on your vehicles or to purchase new vehicles. If you are unable to capture the ghost you will have the sad view of him flying away.
The game is very basic when it comes to the things you are expected to do. There aren’t too many complications other than trying to manoeuvre the ghosts above the trap. You’d first off think it’s nice and simple, but in the long run you may see a few fly away at first.
The graphics of this game are pretty well designed. There is a fair amount of detail done to the scenery and the map itself. When you are in the side scrolling scenarios the game doesn’t involve as much graphical detail, but enough that it is noticed to be good graphics.
Ghostbusters is a very famous series and everyone has heard of the Ghostbusters. This game is a great addition to the movie in itself. You are now able to take on what some of your favourite actors had to on the film. The game has been designed phenomenally with all the ghosts you are attempting to capture and how large the actual map itself is. There are no parts in this game that are lacking. If you loved the movie and remember wanting everything Ghostbusters when you were a kid then I know you will love this game and play it for a very long time. This game is one of the best action adventures anyone will ever discover.
