Game Review (written by Chrissi) Added on: 01/14/2008
Take on the second part of the Impossible Mission sequel in an action packed video game. Stopping the Elvin Atom bender before he gets his revenge. For the sequel you will see some changes between the two games, but generally they are based around the same plot.
The game will start in Elvin’s fortress, which is a part of the nine towers in total. You will be adventuring around nine towers in total with eight towers surrounding one main tower. There is a certain theme based for the first eight towers.
The themes can resemble such things like computer, automobiles, and furniture. There have been many different rooms included into each of the towers, which are connected with two corridors that are elevators.

You will also be able to go to different rooms on the same level that are connected into the towers. There are numerical puzzles that you will have to solve to unlock the towers. These combinations can be quite complicated to solve.
During the game you will encounter numbers between zero and nine that have been done in three different colours. There will be three numbers in each of the towers that you will need and determine the order to discover the code to open the door to the next tower. An elevator that has been placed in the middle of the tower will need a password to unlock it. There is a piece of music which will have the password encoded into it. In all of the eight surrounding towers you will need to find a musical piece, which has been locked in a safe. Collecting these music pieces will help you get into Elvin’s control room, which is where you will defeat him.
The type of enemies is one of the different items included into Impossible Mission II. Some of the enemies consist of a shovel bot, suicide bot, mine bot, and pest bot. All of the bots will have their own special feature to them. Try collecting bombs and mines that have been scattered through the levels. They will assist in destructing the enemies and opening the safes. For the bombs they will self-destruct after a certain period of time, but the mines will only explode once they have come into contact with something.
The difficulty of Impossible Mission II is not too difficult. Some parts throughout the game will be a little more challenging than others. Once you start travelling through the game though you will be more capable of completing these unexpected happenings a lot quicker than when you first started playing.
An arcade format has been used for the design of the game. The game has been done in several platforms that you will explore through. There is not too much detail included into the graphical designs but generally it is well done for the years of development.
Take on the second part of the Impossible Mission sequel. The games have been based around the same plot but still have their own uniqueness between the two. There are additional features included to make the games a little different between the each. Impossible Mission II does not include too many different parts throughout the game so there is always the option for new gamers to be able to enjoy the games just as much as more experienced gamers. Try out the second part of Impossible Mission sequel.
