Game Review (written by Ashmaniac) Added on: 06/28/2008
This game really takes me back to when I was a kid playing in the amusement arcades pumping the machine full of 10p's to try and complete the thing. Then I recently found a download of this game and what fun I had, for about 10 minutes. It was great fun and all, but the gameplay now, compared to when I was younger, just seems a lot simpler than it used to be. The game is the same it is just me that evolved.

Going up the levels it was pretty easy to time your punches and kicks to take out the grabber men. The knife throwers sometimes proved difficult to beat though. Seeming to run away before that flying kick hit them, only for them to turn and throw a knife for you to land on. The end of level 1 boss I actually used to find pretty hard compared to the other ones and I still find that today. Don't know why just never could get to grips with it.
Also I like the variance that is thrown in with the vases, or pot or whatever they are, with snakes inside. And the level 4 "moths" as I call them are an absolute nightmare to kill

without being hurt. They fly at certain heights that you just can't hit and it doesn't seem fair.
The best tactic I found here was to just run as fast as you can and avoid most of them as they keep coming and coming. Boomerang boss on level 2 was always easy. He throws you jump or duck it and pound his face in quickly.
My favourite boss has to be the level 4 hunchback. Just for the fact that its actually fun trying to kill him and when you get the wrong one you actually decapitate him. Hilarious depending on what you've been smoking. The big boss at the end is where the best of button bashers can shine through as you just really need to keep bopping up and down and hammering either kick or punch randomly and the occasional get through and he dies eventually. After all this gruelling ordeal you finally get re-united with your kidnapped girlfriend. Oh, right I forgot to mention her.
All in all, a really nice that was so cool that days and even now.
