Action adventure games can come in many different forms of game play. The Last Ninja is a great form of the action adventure gaming format. The game was one of the most popular games ever sold for the Commodore 64 making the sequels to follow just as great.
The Last Ninja has a very in depth plot that allows the game to be what it is. The game starts off explaining to you about the two hundred years of the clan known as Fujiwara in ruling.
Many of the townspeople fled the town so they were no longer in ruling by this clan. Several centuries later another group had become very feared, which are the Ninjutsu. This clan has mastered weapon craft and their mind control allowing them to have victory over almost all their enemies for many years. Soon the Ashikaga clan wants to acquire this knowledge, which will involve them to completely destruct the Ninjutsu clan. There is a lot more to the plot, but you will just have to play the game to discover how amazing the plot actually is.
The game itself has a lot of exploration, various puzzles to solve, and of course combat. The entire object of the game is to explore the palace, which is run

by the evil Shogun Kunitoki, and destroy him. With destroying this man you will then retrieve the sacred scrolls without being defeated. Throughout the game your challenges will become more difficult and tedious to complete.
Your view on the screen will have your opponent’s energy levels, the inventory you’ve collected, and your health. With the view of the game being done in an isometric perspective you will have the ability to move in eight various directions. Your movements will display in the direction you are facing with a restriction to travel into the scenery. You will also want to avoid the many obstacles that will come your way throughout your travels, which could sometimes be fatal. When attacking you will have several weapons to choose from, such as the sword, nunchaku, a staff, shurinken, and smoke bombs. Each will come in handy throughout the game at one point or another.
There are a total of six different leveled sections which have been placed in a sequential order that you must complete them in. Each level will be very unique to its challenges and items that you will collect. The levels that you will travel through consist of:
-The wastelands
-The wilderness
-The palace gardens
-The dungeons
-The palace
-And the inner sanctum
The Last Ninja is a great beginning to a wonderful series of games. With a game starting off so popular to be continued into even more spectacular games you know this game will be phenomenal. As the last surviving member of your entire clan, you must defeat your enemy and get that so needed revenge. The Last Ninja will help you do this with great problem solving, amazing places to explore, and the best combat sequences you will ever experience.
