The Royal Canadian Mounted Police are surely proud of the game Miner 2049er. In this game you will take on the role of Bounty Bob who is on several missions in search of Nuclear Ned’s uranium mines. You will also be searching for Yukon Yohan.
During the game you will be attempting to claim each of the mines, which you will have to do by running all over it. This can sometimes be a little difficult with the many obstacles that are placed throughout the levels. Some of these obstacles could be transporters, hydraulic scaffolds, and jet speed floaters.
Other than the obstacles just listed, there are also the radioactive creatures, which have been left behind in these mines. Beware of these creatures; they are dangerous to the touch.
As the player your goal will be to inspect each mine, completing every single section. To know if you have completed a mine, each section of the floor will be filled with colours. You will have to have every single section filled with colour to be able to continue on to the next level. There are a total of ten levels for you to complete, each becoming more difficult than the next.
On your travels you will discover many items that have been left behind by past miners. You will want to collect these items
since you will receive bonus points for all the items collected. When you achieve bonus points the creatures will all of a sudden smile and then turn green. This is when you can collect them as if they were a bonus item instead of an enemy.
Some of the various obstacles that you can encounter throughout the mines can either help you along or cause problems for you. The ladders that are set up throughout the levels will assist you in getting up and down throughout the platforms, the matter transporters will teleport you to other transporters that are located in the mine, and then there are chutes and pulverizers that can put a halt on your travels.
When it comes to the design of the levels each one will have a unique element throughout them that will change with each level. When you want to skip a certain level just hold down the space bar for a couple of seconds and you will be taken to the next level.
Miner 2049er is a phenomenally designed platform game that takes on those superb arcade graphics. The game is great when it comes to the display of various colours and its overall design is eye catching to all ages.
