Game Review (written by Blashawnknoll) Added on: 11/16/2006
Monopoly online is pretty cool. The graphics on this one are a little old … but that is why it says download CLASSIC games right! There really isn’t any animation on the tokens, but to me that is a good thing. Games that have that take way to long to wait around for your token to move …. We just want to play the good old fashion monopoly. I think that the computer one is a lot faster than the board game. You always know whose turn it is because the computer will show your token.
This eliminates the annoying is it my turn…. from the little siblings.
I may just like this game because I am a monopoly lover I collect everyone I can get my hands on!! All in all, this game is awesome it’s exactly like the board game with properties and money and turns. Unfortunately, if you play with the get $500 if you land on Free Parking it doesn’t count.
I like the fact that on the computer when you roll your die it dose not suddenly disappear underneath the table. Speaking of things that disappear if you play the computer version there is NO CHEATING the only person that could is the computer and everyone feels like the computer cheats when ever they get beat by it right! Another downside … if you want to play with six or seven people you have to crowd around the computer and pass it down, with the board game you can all sit around the table comfortably and see everything.
You get fun sounds instead of the annoying TV or complaining competitors. Monopoly is fun, but I do not suggest it for anyone under the age of ten because it can be a little confusing and difficult. The computer monopoly has auctions when you do not want to buy the property, and when we play it you just leave it for the other players when they land on it. When you mortgage property you pay 10% to pay it back.
Monopoly is a classic game it has been around for many years. Also, it has a lot of meaning in the economy if you want to study it in school, there are many worksheets that focus on the game Monopoly and the economy. Monopoly is a fun game it does take some time how ever but all in all it is a blast to play and a total classic. If I were to choose a game to download that is fun for many ages and able to be played by MANY players I would with out a doubt choose Monopoly. It is the best.
