Traveling throughout many countries can be a very exciting task for many people to do. Pang is a fascinating game for traveling around many different countries, except you will be shooting balloons that you find in these countries.
Throughout the game you will be attempting to shoot down balloons in the many different countries available. There are a total of four sizes that the balloons can take form of, and be divided in half when you get a successful shot on them. Several balloons may have a special item included into them.
One of these items may be a harpoon, which comes in handy when you want to get the balloons that are behind the bricks. The further into the game you get you will discover the increase in number of balloons. The bricks will block more balloons so using your specials wisely will be needed.
The objective of the game is to take out every single balloon in all the levels attempting to get the highest number of points. You must pop every single balloon in the level to be able to be taken to the next level. If some balloons end up stuck behind a brick at the end of the level you will be required to start over and then have to strategize that level
a little better then your previous attempt.
The graphical appeal of the game is marvelous. It has been done is a more advanced arcade format with the balloons being in several colorful colors that are very attractive for the human eye. When it comes to the design of the background it is not as thought out as other Commodore 64 games, but it is enough that keeps the game appealing. A far amount of the backgrounds look a little blotchy in a few of the levels, but what the image is attempting to display is still somewhat recognizable.
There is the option to have the game multiplayer giving a little extra competitiveness into the game. With there being fifty levels you will be sitting for hours trying to defeat each other many of times that is how astounding Pang actually is.
If you want to take on many balloons and watch them burst on your screen to their deaths, then Pang is the perfect game for you. There is so much to a game with such a simplistic plot you wouldn’t have expected the game to be as exciting as it actually is. The sound of the balloons exploding is just thrilling enough that you will be hooked. Special features or not, Pang is still a rare but marvelous game.
