In 1982 there was an arcade game known as Q*Bert. During this game you will be travelling around the top of several cubes that will change the square into a specific colour.
At the beginning of the game the levels will be far simpler than the later levels. The levels at the beginning will only require a single hop on the cubes to get them to change colour. When the game gets further into the levels you will discover that it is more difficult to get the cubes to change.

Some will require two hops and if you do more than required the colour will switch again. When you actually fall off of the cubes you will fall off the screen.
Throughout the
game you will encounter some very annoying enemies that may get in your way at times. There is a snake that will appear on the top of the pyramid, which is inside of a purple ball. This ball will begin to bounce down the screen heading to the bottom. When this ball hits the bottom of the screen the snake will all of a sudden pop out from the ball, in pursuit of your character. There are also several red balls bouncing around the screen which will cause death to you if you come into contact with them.
There are several other enemies that will attempt to stop your success of completing the game. You will attempt to avoid all these enemies as much as you can while still completing the levels.
Your character Q*Bert is a little orange character who has a very tubular like nose and very distinctive eyes. When he has been caught by one of the enemies a little bubble will appear with a comical swearing lingo placed into it. This shows your characters emotions when he is upset that he got caught.
Overall, the game is not too difficult to complete. You have to get all the squares changed to the designated colour to be able to continue onto the next round. There are a total of four rounds in each level, so once you’ve completed all four rounds you will then continue on in the levels.
If you want to experience a definite classic arcade game in the comfort of your home, then Q*Bert is for you. There is so much, but so little to this game that you will be automatically hooked on the game play. The game is so random in how many times you will be required to jump that you will have to discover this on your own.
