Game Review (written by S0ysauc33) Added on: 01/11/2007
This version of Risk seems like an old one. The game play isn't all that different and it’s easy to learn strategy game where you basically fight other armies for land. The first time I played this game, I didn't like the graphics all to well, but I got pretty addicted to it. Also you can get into fight with more than one opponent and they go after each other too.
I guess if you like war and strategy, this game would be pretty good to start with.
One bad thing about it is that attack power is based on dice rolling. But usually the dice rolling outcome is in your favor (you are more likely to win with the higher number rolled). Attackers can roll 3 die, but Defenders can only roll 2. Whenever you attack, how the dice rolls come to a conclusion, it’s usually your highest number vs. their highest number for example if you roll a 7-2-4, and the defender rolls an 8-3 that means your seven goes up against the eight and the three goes up against the four. That outcome makes it a one loss on both sides.
All of your strategies are based on yourself. You can do what you

want to do and how you do it. But just be sure to plan your strategies and actions ahead of time. There’s a multi player mode on it where you can fight how many computers you want. Also in the game, if you have a country, you have to at least leave one army on it to protect the country. The number of armies you have in one country also effect your attacking power. You can have as many attacking turns as you want before you end your turn.
When you control a whole continent, you can get a bonus on how many armies you can reinforce on your next turn. I forgot to talk about that. Whenever it's your turn again, you are able to reinforce any of your countries with more armies. Also you do have a limit on how many armies you can put at a time. There are several ways you can make that limit increase, like what I said before. There are others like every time you conquer a country, and end your turn, you get a card with a picture at the bottom. When you get 3 of the same pictures, you can trade it in to gain more armies on your next turn. There are other modes of games in that like where you have to conquer the whole world, or take the opposing enemies capitol country.
