Game Review (written by Chelsea73920) Added on: 10/07/2006
This game, I think is an extremely fun game. You can either start out playing with sonic and tails or you can play with sonic alone. To play with sonic alone you need to restart the game and when it gets to the options menu go down to options, and change the top box, which says "sonic and tails" or "sonic alone" then you push start once you select which one you want.
Now playing with the character/characters you chose there are many cool things on the rest of the game.
You can play level by level or you can use cheats to skip to the levels you want. Each level has two parts to it. The first one you have to play all the way through to the end and hit the spinner. On part two, you go through the level and at the end, you have to beat the bad guy.
If you’re using cheat codes you can get 'Golden Sonic" who is invincible but you can only activate golden sonic by acquiring 50 golden rings and jumping up. Golden sonic is extremely fast and only lasts until your rings run out (your rings count down to zero with Golden sonic activated). To keep golden sonic activated you have to keep collecting rings until the end of the game. When your rings run out, you turn back into regular sonic.
After completing all the two part levels you come to the last levels of the game. "Sky Chase" is a level that takes some skill because there are objects that fly at you through the air that you have to avoid. And what makes it harder is that you are on top of a plain that tails is driving. After completing the first part of the level you must complete the second; in which you have to jump off the plane onto a space ship that the evil "Death Egg" is piloting. This is particularly hard because there are hidden passages that take you where you need to be, but you have to find them first. After getting to the bad guy "death egg," you must defeat his robot that resembles you. After defeating him, you are on to the last part of the game where you defeat Death Egg once and for all. He has bubble things that revolve around him that you have to pop, and if you don’t pop them in time they turn into mini bad guys. After you pop all the bubbles then you kill death egg and move on to the end where all the animals that you freed throughout the game come join you in the celebration of the defeat of death egg.
