Game Review (written by Chrissi) Added on: 12/15/2007
Space Crusade is an action simulation where you will be taking the role of a Commander and four different marines who have been sent on several missions on hostile alien star ships. At the very beginning the commander will start off with the ranking of a sergeant, but will gradually increase in his rankings. There is the option to have up to three players who will take command of one marine each. The opposing alien team will be controlled by the computer.
The game will require you to terminate the opposing alien team that has taken over the several star ships.

The game will require you to terminate the opposing alien team that has taken over the several star ships. There is also the option to destroy the mother ship which will then destruct all the alien opponents at one moment.

role playing game where you will be taking turns on each mission. This makes game play with multiple players more cooperative since you will each be able to make choices on the overall game’s tasks.
You must select the mission you want to take part in and once you have done that you will have to equip your marines with all their required items and then direct them with instructions of what they are expected to do. When your commander has a higher ranking he will have the option to give more direct orders in battle. In the game the commander is the most important person that is a part of your squad. When he has higher rankings he’ll have the option to carry more items at a time, allowing you take on your missions with more of the required items.
At the end of each completed mission each player will be able to save their game. When you are playing with three other people they will all be required to complete the mission before you have the option to save. This can be frustrating for that one individual player who isn’t proceeding on as fast as other players, but they can always assist you.
The graphical design has been done with a two dimensional top down view. The combat has been designed in a pseudo third dimensional isometric view. With the two different uses of design this allows the game to have more in-depth and appealing features that allow some areas to be more dramatic than others. The game does have a fascinating artistic design to the details on everything. The entire game has had time put into the overall design for the years of creation. The combat scenarios are overly detailed in your squad’s physical design as well as their surroundings.
Space Crusade has become the game of the century with the great addition of the multiplayer option as well as the interchanging graphics. The game can be very difficult to beat with the amount of depth that it does get into. You will be taking in a lot of new things throughout the entire game that will assist in better ways of taking out your opposing team, the aliens. Space Crusade definitely is one of the top games that will keep you playing for many years to come. There is so much to this game, that you will surely become entranced in all aspects of Space Crusade.

This is an awesome game, taken from the board game of the same name. It is very entertaining and is quite addictive. The downside is that it is quite difficult in parts, although nowhere near as hard as the 3D version (Space Hulk) that came along later, which was close to impossible. The graphics are quite reasonable for 1992, and add to the atmosphere considerably. Overall it is well worth the download!
