Fast tracks, great racing simulation with a variety of races are how you would explain Test Drive. There is a selection from five different vehicles that will fit at least one of your driving preferences making the game suitable to your liking. Once you have determined the car that you would like to drive you will begin your travels through a mountain scenery avoiding cops on your travels.
Each of the cars will only have a manual shift included into them, so you will have to discover how to shift quite quickly.
Take some time to practice your shifting or you may blow up that beautiful engine.
When it comes to the actual game you will encounter many realistic items that you would come to in actual driving. There is traffic throughout the entire game that you will have to avoid which can be quite difficult to get around. If you happen to have an encounter with traffic you will quickly loose your speed so attempt to avoid contact as much as possible. As well as avoiding traffic you will need to keep an eye out for radar traps that have been placed by cops. It can be quite interesting to have all these cops chasing you around the game, but try your hardest not to get caught.
Test
Drive does have the use of advanced arcade graphics included into the design. There is only one scenery included into the game, which are the mountains. This could have been better if there were various backgrounds, but who needs tons of backgrounds when you are causing a huge cop chase. You will get a viewpoint of the game from the inside of your car seeing all your surroundings on the other side of the windshield. When you are at a checkpoint though you will get an astounding view of the car from the side. This is when a lot of detail has been done to the car and your surroundings.
There have been several games released similar to Test Drive over the years, but none will ever top this game. This game made it possible for games in the future to take a chance at their designs. Since Test Drive wasn’t your usual racing simulation it was quite popular back in the years of release. If you do enjoy racing simulations but want to take a blast to the past then Test Drive will definitely satisfy your needs. Take the chance and download Test Drive. Cause a huge cop chase, since it’s not a good idea to do it in the real world.
