Game Review 1 (written by Chrissi) Added on: 12/30/2007
Arcade games were very popular over the years, especially Tetris. This game was one of the most popular arcade games that everyone has experienced at least once in their lifetime. The game has been designed to have you trying to put pieces together to form lines attempting to clear the entire game field displayed on your screen.
There are several different shapes used to have you place together on your gaming board. They will fall from the top half of the gaming board in a slow downward motion with you spinning them around to have them fit in different places on the bottom of your gaming field.

off your game board. When you have cleared every single piece off of your gaming board you will be taken to the next level. Each level will become more and more difficult and faster. Once you are getting near the end of the game you will discover how difficult Tetris actually is.
The game has been viewed in a third person perspective allowing you to see the entire game board, the piece moving down the screen, and the piece that you will be using next. There is a fair amount of strategizing that will have to be done the further into the game you get, but once you have completed all the levels and have an amazingly super high score you will be very satisfied and most likely attempt the game again.
There is not too much graphical detail included into the game. The pieces will be done in several appealing colors allowing you to differ which piece is which when you have connected them together. Each level will have a different order for the pieces to come to you, making the design even more difficult each time you play.
If you want to play the ultimate classic game, but haven’t found that perfect game yet then Tetris would be the ideal selection. The game is playable by all ages, is a great family game and is of course the most well known arcade game in the entire world. There may not be any plot or overall accomplishment to the entire game, but there is surely enough excitement into the defeat of each level that will have you fully interested in every level you take part in.
Tetris will have you hooked to the game by the end of the first level. You will most likely play this game for many years to come and pass it on to your children. Tetris is a very old game that is still getting a lot of game play and many new versions designed over the many years. Its time to get on the wagon of success and attempt Tetris yourself.

Game Review 2 (written by Ebbonorden) Added on: 10/23/2006
The never ending game of puzzles that you create. A very stimulating game that has continued to generate interest since it's creation in 1988 by Alexy Pazhitnov. This game has appeared on the list of Greatest games of all time, and has won many other gaming awards.
I have found myself on random occasions with the distinct urge to play this addicting game just to see how long it takes before the chaos of shapes and speed gets to me. The theme songs in the game are based on Russian folk tunes, just as the name and graphics imply. There are a few interesting features of newer versions of Tetris that help speed the game up.
However, don't play this game for too long or the infamous Tetris effect will get to you. The Tetris effect is what happens after a person has played Tetris for a long stretch of time and starts to see the various shapes and patterns in life and while sleeping. I have had this bizarre phenomenon happen to me on many numerous occasions and it still never ceases to amaze me how I still keep picking up the game and play it again and again.
