I loved this game when I was a kid, and we used to play it on an old IBM goliath. I don't know if that was the name of the computer, but it was this huge metal box. I miss the games on old machines, where the graphics were surprising and fun.
I always loved the part where the detective would show up and promote you from gumshoe to whatever was after that, I think maybe it was sleuth or something. I just remember being so amazed by the graphics back then.

I think now that I'm all grown up, I know the capitals of countries in Europe because I played this game, and I had no idea there was a where in the world is Carmen
Sandiego until I saw the game show!
I loved also the broadband graphics at the beginning and that cartoon with the guy that climbs out of the hole, and then the hole turns on its side and becomes a sewer lid or something and then it rolls around and he crashes into a safe and Carmen comes in her elusive red jacket and takes him away. I loved that part. Actually, I can't wait to play it!
Make you're kids play it! Take them back to a day when games were simple and fun and educational and creative. They might think it's lame before they try it but start with this game! It's great! So wish me luck, I hope it works, and I hope it works on your computer, too. And after that, make sure to check out Oregon Trail! That game was great too!
