The game takes part in a snowy and icy terrain where you will be competing in various winter type sport activities. The game has three different ways to compete in events. These would consist of selecting a few events to take part in, select a single event, or to just practice a certain event. Each has its benefits to the game itself. With the option to select numerous events at once you are able to create your own competitions with sport activities that you are better at.

The game isn’t too difficult after you’ve been playing it a few times. There are a few activities that will be more difficult than others, but after a little practice everything will become playable. The game is great for all ages and shows many activities that many haven’t even heard of or experienced themselves.
The activities that you have the choice to participate in consist of freestyle skiing, speed skating, figure skating, bobsledding, biathlon, ski jumping, and alpine skiing. Each one of these activities is different compared to the other games part of the sequel. Instead of all the summer type activities you know get the chance to play in the snow while staying warm.
At the beginning of the game you need to select the country you are wishing the represent. There is the option to have up to eight different players involved in this game, each getting to select a country to take part in. With the ability to compete against up to eight different people, this game will become very competitive and quite interesting in many ways.
Winter Games has great graphical appeal just like all the other Summer Games that have been created. The large detail put into every aspect of the game that you would think would be difficult with it being a winter based game, has been done over the top. Everything has a large amount of detail to make this game phenomenal in more than just the gaming aspect.
Overall, Winter Games is a very addicting game for all ages. There is very enjoyable game. The events are different compared to any other games released over the years. As long as you continue to win those gold medals your score is going to be phenomenal. Winter Games is a great variation to the Summer Games and has definitely made its way into the great games for the Commodore 64 over the years. I highly recommend it to everyone!
