Game Review (written by Owenrock69) Added on: 03/29/2007
Ahhh, yet another infocom game for me to write about. If you’ve read my reviews of infocom games you know that there is no game that I have ever or probably will ever love more than the story adventure games from infocom.
In wishbringer you play the role of a boy that is looking to get his dad out of some trouble. Albeit in a dream world, and in doing so you sort of become a fugitive running from the law.
This has probably one of the best storylines out of all the infocom games maybe of course with the exception of hitchhikers guide to the galaxy, which btw is ALOT of fun so after you download this one download that one.

I remember certain parts of the game in the magicians shop, and being on the beach. And driving the boat that you find, going to the arcade you do a whole range of stuff in this game and you are never bored for a moment.
When I first got the game I sat down on my commodore 64 and played it for 5 hours straight not even taking breaks to go to the bathroom. There isn’t really much to say about story games that hasn’t already been said, you can’t rank the graphics ‘cause there are none. You can’t rank gameplay cause the only thing you do in the game is type commands, which is fun don’t get me wrong but is hard to rank. The only normal things you can really rank it on are storyline and replay value. Out of 10 points I’d give the storyline a 9/10. I give it a 8/10 in replay value, I always miss stuff when I play it the first time and back in the day when they actually put thought into stories they always built every game with like 4 or 5 different endings depending on what you did during the game.
One word of advice that I will give to you all now about this game that had me searching for hours upon hours to get past is the dog by the post office, what you want to do is go into the cemetery and get the bone out of the grave, then you want to return to the post office where the dog is and give him the bone, he will then chew on the bone and not bother you unless you go over to where he is, then he'll bite your face off. Your welcome for that because I hated the game, because that’s at the very beginning and I was getting frustrated. Now you won’t be, now have fun.
