Step 3: Download and install a C64 Emulator (WinVICE)
Info: C64 games can not be played on modern PCs without using a so called emulator software. I recommend WinVICE since it's the best free software out there. The following instructions are based on WinVICE. If you want to uninstall WinVICE later on, all you need to do is to delete it's directory since it will not modify your Windows Registry at all.
What to do: Go to the C64 Emulator Page, download WinVICE.zip and save the file to your hard drive into a folder of your choice (example: c:\winvice\). Now extract the files within the archive to the same folder.
IMPORTANT: Make sure that you select the setting “use folder names” in Winzip when you extract the files.
