Game Review (written by Elisehooks) Added on: 08/20/2007
Granny Place is a great little game if you have some extra time to think about game play. There are not graphic's just words, but it’s even better because it develop you and your brains! In the game you have to read a short area about where you are and what it looks like there and you have to then decide which way you want to go. You can only type north, south, east or west and tell the computer which way you want to go. You have the option to pick up things and drop things and even throw things. In order to go that you type that command, there are very few words that the computer will know what to do with so you have to think about what to type. Everything you do cause the computer to comment back. It is kind of like a messenger where you and the computer are typing back and forth and setting up a story. If at any time in the game you think that you need help all that you have to type is help. If you want to see what you have picked up just type inventory or inv. That will get you to have to computer comment back as to what you have on you be careful what you do there are mobsters in the game and if you are caught with their stuff its trouble. The game sets up a story of being at a strip club. There are lots of little details to the words. The game is fun! Be careful it is very easy to get lost in the game, there are gardens and forests and all kinds of areas that you can get to and then get lost there. There are many tasks to complete in granny’s house. Remember this is a text based game and what happens in the game depends on what commands you give the game to do. You might be in the right place doing the right thing but unless you put it in the right words and in the right order you can't complete the puzzle.
That’s why I say this is a great thinking game. It takes a lot of time and thinking. If you looked to old text games and are a great thinker then this is the game for you. Granny Place develops your different skills and memory! I highly recommend it for everyone!
