Game Review (written by Karole) Added on: 03/01/2008 Royal Blush Video Poker simulates a casino video poker machine in which you are playing against a fixed payoff schedule rather than against other people in a social game, where you have the excitement of playing against an opponent who can be outwitted if you are skilful
enough.
In this game you get to choose between six attractive dealers, and in normal fashion you get to see more of them in still photographs as you increase your winnings. You also get to choose the payoff schedule of which you have a choice of four ranging from the Atlantic City setting, which is pays out least through to the Ultra Loose Machine which pays out most. Starting with 100 credits you can stake anywhere between 1 and 5 credits before your five cards are dealt, and then can replace any of them once - the table stake stays the same. Payouts range is in size from 1-2 credits for a pair through to 250 -500 credits for a Royal Flush.
Using the default payout schedule is disheartening as your poke of cash shrinks pretty rapidly so changing to the Ultra Loose machine setting at least allowed the inexpert poker player (me) to see winnings over a short period of time, say an hour, rather than much longer. I found that you were given the first two pictures with your holding of 100 credits, and received the third at
125 credits, fourth at 135 and numbers five and six by 160 credits.
This version of RBVP was distributed as share ware so that the player can try before buy, so when you reach winnings of 200 credits, further progress is disabled without registering with and paying a fee to Erotitainment. At this point you will have seen six pictures of the chosen dealer which time she will have partially disrobed.
All in all, really nice game to try not only for poker fans.
