Sex Vixens is a game of immediate addiction. The graphics are good for the time period, and the sound is appropriate too. The game is challenging in itself, and you must have good timing in order to succeed in completing the game to the end.
The plot itself is inspired by the James Bond, but the game takes place far in the distant future. You are the character Brad Stallion, and you have been assigned a task by the Federated Government, which involves locating and neutralizing a gang of space-Amazon raiders, otherwise known as "The Tribe".
They spread terror throughout the galaxies by means of their sex ray guns, and they are extremely dangerous for you and everyone else who has the potential to be a victim.
You will follow Brad through two planetary environments, a space station, and his own aerodynamic vessel - The Big Thruster.
Keep in mind, you have to be at least eighteen to play this game, and as the story focuses around women, it is easy to imagine how you should operate. With only a single tool at your disposal, which is attached to you at all times, every problem will look like a toolbox. ;) Screw away lads, screw away...the ladies are only going to reward you ;)
The controls are true to the time period in which the game was released, and you need to type commands in order to access some of the functions of the game. Here they are:
Start - begins the game, or resets it from the beginning if you have al ready started playing it.
Help - accesses the help menu of the game and helps you with any questions you might have in the game play.
Quit - typing this command will exit the game at any point, but remember to save first.
There are also some shortcuts that will help you with orientation inside the game, and with playing it as well...
Ctrl-L is the shortcut, which gives you location information.
Ctrl-I is the shortcut, which shows you an inventory of the items you have.
Ctrl-S is the shortcut, which gives Sandie's hints. Sandie is the on board computer that is a companion and a guide for you in the game.
The game was published by Free Spirit, and released in 1988 for platforms Amiga, Atari, ST, Commodore 64 and DOS. In conclusion, the game is amazing.
