Games with graphic adult content and blatantly sexual themes, such as the craze of Japanese Hentai influenced games that struck the market in the eighties and nineties, often rely solely on flirtatious graphics and the promise of a pleasant tease to attract fans and gamers. The Maid’s Story, by C Wares, is one of these games, but offers some refreshingly challenging game play to go along with the naughty adult themes. The Maid’s Story is a demanding simulation game that requires more than just a “willing” attitude to conquer.
In The Maid’s Story, the user plays the head of an influential household, which is basically a house of ill repute. Within the house, the user has control over four young girls, one of which serves only as his assistant. The other three are in training, so to speak, to be docile, subservient, skilled, effective and willing…maids or something like that. The user is actually trying to find his true love. While sorting out what will constitute his perfect girl, he has ample opportunities to play the field with the girls he is training.
The Maid’s Story is not all erotica and bathroom humour. It is the simulation of a well-run noble household that requires careful attention to succeed. The user must teach the girls how to daily household chores, such as cleaning, washing clothes, cooking and shopping. Some girls are more predisposed to one topic or another, and the user must be able to determine which girl is best suited for each task he lays out. Trying to force girls to do what they have no aptitude for will result in shoddy work, tired girls, and a household that falls apart around the user. Also, the work must be well-balanced between all of the girls to prevent similar quandaries.
At night, the same principal applies. Making moves that are too aggressive for a particular girl’s tastes will make her hate the user and rebel against his authority, hurting the household, as well as diminishing his chances for some after hours fun. Overworking a girl (on any playing field), may make her sick and worthless. As the user finds a nice balance between all of the aspects he must manage, including finances, his household will flourish and the user will see changes in the background to represent the character’s growing wealth and status. If the user fails, the home will begin to crumble down around itself.
The Maid’s Story is much more than meets the eye, and there is obviously a great plenty reaching the eye. It is actually an intriguing simulation and strategy combo with some erotica thrown in as bonuses for jobs well done. Those of you above the age of consent, feel free to give this one a try.
