You play as JP, an ordinary guy just living a normal life, until he hears news about a massive meteor that is going to collide with Earth and kill all living things, and that the only chance of survival is to find a bomb shelter within the next 30 minutes. Luckily JP remembers that his friend, Cosmo, has a bomb shelter built into his house. You grab the spare key to his house, that he had given to you in the past, and head towards Cosmo's house.
JP searches his house to find the items needed to be given access into the bomb shelter, JP thought it would just be any old bomb shelter and that Cosmo would most likely be waiting there for him. But JP finds a lot more than just and old bomb shelter. Once you have gotten into the bomb shelter, this is when the adventure really begins.
The game plays as a normal point and click, adventure game, just like old Monkeys Island games but instead of the camera changing its point of view and where it’s looking, you are always looking down at the house in a birds eye view perspective. The puzzles are a little on the weak side, and you
would never really have to think about it much to solve any of the puzzles, this is why the game might only take little over ten minutes to complete the whole game.
The graphics of the game are quite excellent, for an amateur game, the backgrounds are clear and it has nicely drawn characters to match. There are many animations playing in the backgrounds aswell, such as dripping taps or ticking clocks and even fish swimming around in their tank. There are many items in the game that you interact with, and you are able to read there humorous dialogue, but sometimes you may find an item that you can not do anything with. This isn’t really a problem, but they could have easily made everything have something to say.
The game is filled with joy and there are many little funny things to see. Overall, the game has good atmospheres and well drawn art, it is a good game for those ten to fifteen minutes of gameplay time. The ending may suggest that there may be a sequel, and there may just be one, but this is just a guess from the title being "The Adventures of JP and Cosmo", and I’m looking forward playing that sequel.
