I really liked the movie "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves," but this game was not exactly based on the movie, though it does have a picture of Kevin Costner on the cover. This game features some really mediocre graphics, although arguably pretty good for the time that it came out. The game-play is somewhat average when it comes to difficulty. It takes a little while to beat, but it's nothing that a pro can't handle within a few hours and a good soup and sandwich.

While along his adventure, young Robin Hood will go from a mere "boy in tights" to a real "prince" if you catch my drift. This seems to be some type of coming of age story written in video game
style. Okay, so honestly, the storyline and plot could have been a little better. It's basically the same old story that we all know of Robin Hood, whether you've seen the Kevin Costner version or the Mel Brooks version... or been told the story as a child.
I think it would have been great if they would have thrown in a little twist of some sort. Who wants to play a game about a story that they've heard a million times? If you want an original plot line and a game that will really hit you where it means something when it comes up to the final climax, don't bother with this game, it won't surprise you a bit. However, if you have a few hours to waste in the airport while you're waiting to get on the plane, you're in school and you're done with your homework (or don't feel like doing it), or if you're just plain trying to waste some time and want to waste some time, go ahead with this one.
You'll be in for a little challenge, a little Robin, and a little bit of fun. I think that this game is suitable for any age. A child could play it and do just as well as some of us that may be a little older (or a lot older!). This game does not seem to be ageist. Personally, I feel, while this game may not be a classic, it's good for a waste of time. I don't think anyone will look back on their days when they were playing this game, but sometimes you just want a good day of relaxing, kicking back, and just letting go. Of course, who doesn't want to be Robin Hood? You get to shoot all the arrows that you want!
