The first time I heard of this games existence was in high school, long after the game had been released. I met a chap who, like me loved Bevis and Butthead and we were constantly doing lousy impersonations. My friend spoke of the game and I couldn't believe, the impression he gave me was that the game was arcade style, spitting on things and frying ants and the like. I had a very warped idea of what the game was like but that didn't stop me from wanting to play it, I thought even if it was a crap game, the fact that it's a Bevis and Butthead game would make it alright.

After a couple of years of looking for the game I completely
forgot about it.
I was instantly a fan of the Monkey Island and Leisure suit Larry style games after playing them at a friend’s house in the mid 90's, I only had a NES at the time and I was enthralled with the humor and the pixelated artwork. I now find those Lucas Sierra type games were exactly what I look for in a computer game nowadays but it would be 10 or so years until I could afford a computer to play them again.
Whilst searching for adventure games one day I spotted it, Bevis and Butthead virtual stupidity. It took me a couple seconds to register that it was the game that dude from high school was talking about, but soon enough I was playing it for the first time.
This game is pure gold, it stays so true to the cartoons that I found I could not wipe the stupid smile off my face. I was delighted as soon as it became obvious that the game was Monkey Island Style, well, the only real difference between the style of Bevis and Butthead and Monkey Island is that you choose who (Bevis or Butthead) you want to do the talking, or click on what you want to talk about rather than choosing a sentence. The voices are one of the best parts of the game, most of the things you click have no bearing on the actual game, there're just jokes, if it wasn't a Bevis and Butthead game those jokes would not be funny but because it is, and the voices are so great, it is a real laugh. It drives me nuts when a game is frustratingly hard, even though it is rewarding when you finally figure something out, I'm not happy when I frustrated. Bevis and Butthead's hard bits (heh heh heh) aren't as bad as the Leisure Suit Larry series so I found that the game flowed really well 'till the end. Even if you progress very slowly through the game, it still feels right because Bevis and Butthead's brains are slower, it sort of even makes it funnier. The game is a typical adventure game in most ways (which is a good thing) except for the "heh heh, we've got balls and there's some wood" humor. The virtual stupidity plot is pretty shallow, they don’t save the Earth or anything, but that just makes it more like the cartoons.
I had very high expectations for this game and it turned out far better than I imagined, that very rarely happens. This is easily a 10/10 game and is truly a classic, if you like Bevis and Butthead you WILL like this game but if you’re not a fan, you will probably think it is stupid.
