The game is a text adventure game that was created by Infocom games. Aside from the text-based adventure the game also features battles that are RPG-like and it also has
other elements that make it more fun than the other Zork games. One such element is the development of the characters and the levels. Your character statistics is affected by the following: endurance, strength, intelligence, dexterity, luck and compassion. These attributes are affected with your experience in the game and how well you play it. Your statistics are also affected by what you do in the game such as when you eat or use an item.
The graphics of the game is pretty dated and the music could use some improvements but those who enjoy playing old school games really wouldn’t mind these things at all.
The game has an advanced difficulty level so experienced gamers will really find this game a challenging and fun game to play. What adds to the difficulty of the game is how your score is affected by the time. If you take too long when you solve a puzzle then your score will be lower than if you had been able to solve the puzzle faster.
The game features full-sentence commands which actually made it a little bit more difficult to control than the previous games that featured two-word commands. The two-word commands made the old games in the Zork series simpler. But there are people who actually like how the game has opened more possibilities with the full sentence commands.
This game is a good hybrid that is able to balance the different elements that it has. I recommend this game for those who enjoy adventure games and also those who like to play RPG. This is a game that you can enjoy even if you have no experience playing the other Zork games.
