In Deja Vu: A Nightmare comes true, you wake up in a men's bathroom in a very seedy joint. You are feeling very groggy and upon looking into the mirror, you do not have the faintest clue as to who you are. You have amnesia and a stabbing pain in your arm, which probably is the reason for the amnesia. As former pro boxer "Ace" Harding, you must travel all over in order to find out who you really are. You are also wanted for a murder that you did not commit! You must help "Ace" Harding get his identity back, but it will not be easy! You run into muggers who want to rob you and kill you.

I enjoyed playing this game a great deal because of the storyline. Stories that involve the main character trying to clear his name with the authorities usually have me very interested. The graphics and sound on the PC version are not all that great but I was still able to enjoy this enthralling game. I had this game with my Commodore 64 computer and the graphics were a little bit better than the IBM PC version. I enjoyed the casino scene and winning the jackpot. I was not a fan of the mugger with the gun part, which came up a few times, but I managed to get past him with a punch to the jaw and giving him a quarter. There was a nice girl who wanted to gun me down but one punch had her flat on her back on the pavement. But then I was able to clear "Ace's" name with the cops and win the game! I was extremely happy with the ending of this game and it gives you an option to print the certificate at the end of it, which I thought was pretty amusing.
This game truly is a game that adventure game fans should have. The story is very good but the graphics and sound are the only elements in the game that I felt could have been improved. I also played this with the old PC version which is why I said that the graphics and sound left much to be desired for me. It's my belief that adventure game fans will truly enjoy this totally outstanding game and hopefully there will be more games like Deja Vu in the near future.
