Game Review 1 (written by Kiz_b) Added on: 11/22/2007
I first played Dizzy on the Spectrum when I was a young girl. I thoroughly enjoyed all of his adventures, although some more than others. This game has much better graphics than the original spectrum version as it is much more colourful... However, it is my understanding that the commodore 64 version looked very similar.
This is a very simple game to play. It involves moving left, right, jumping and picking up objects in order to use them in different situations.
Dizzy only has a limited amount of lives though and it is easy to die, if you are not careful which can be very irritating.
This game follows Dizzy's adventure as he vows to stop the wizard Zaks, who has been reeking evil on his land. The Wizard has been interfering in the lives of Dizzy’s family and friends by making them old and blind and also changing the weather.
This is a game which is suitable for all ages. It is very enjoyable as it is light hearted, simple to manoeuvre. Dizzy the egg is also a very cute charismatic animation, after all who doesn’t like the idea of a little egg with red boxing gloves trying to rid the world of evil...
It

also sends out the message that not matter how fragile you are you can always do your part. This moral makes Dizzy an especially good role model. He could break at any minute. However, he is still willing to put himself out there for his friends.
Treasure Island Dizzy, Fantasy Dizzy, Magicland Dizzy and Spellbound Dizzy. You may even like Dizzy Prince of the Yolkfolk. Fast-food Dizzy is on a very different level and is more of a pacman kind of game. However, if you are playing these games purely for the fun of seeing the little egg then it may well also be for you!
Games in other series you may enjoy could be the commander Keen collection (in particular Keen 4-6), Sam1 or Gobliins.
Another benefit of this game is you can play it, and a year later when you have nothing to do you can play it again as it is just as entertaining the second time around. I have played all the dizzy games many times and still play them time and time again.
If you feel like having some light-hearted fun this is a game I would definitely recommend trying.

Game Review 2 (written by Diablos_embassy) Added on: 11/21/2007
The Dizzy Remake is an interesting little adventure game that stars everyone's favorite egg dude, Dizzy. Like the other games in this franchise, the story is basically about inventory collection and effectively using what you are able to find. It is not always as easy as it sounds, since Dizzy as some limitations that really make you think. The storyline is there, for anyone who is interested, but it really is not important or necessary to solve the puzzles and finish the game.

The best thing about this game was the clever use of "props"...having to think about whether to use an item for a certain obstacle. Sometimes I'd drop my birdseed and get killed the birds, for example. That is why I like the games after the first one in this series: being able to carry more than one item made the game that little bit easier, though if you were underwater and had to drop the snorkel to pick up something then it was a life lost again, and I'm sure many other players of this fantastic game have done the exact same thing and caused Dizzy to drown himself, or overleap into a burning torch and becoming a fried egg.

Some of the jokes give a little chuckle and the growing Yolk Folk family from Fantasy World Dizzy onwards made it even more fun by them giving you tasks to do as well as Dizzy's own, making it even more challenging as the series continued over the next few years.

So basically Dizzy is pure addiction. It has some frustration and highly is enjoyable by all age ranges. If you don’t play this game you need do it now! It’s too addictive, interesting and exciting to leave on the shelf! I'm sure you’ll be satisfied!
