Just to start off, Duckman: The Legend of the Fall is a great game for any fan of the Duckman television series. It has all the characters that everyone would know and love. The sound effects are perfect for a game made after an animated series. It has the same feeling as you would expect from Duckman. This is an adventure style of game, filled with puzzles and point-and-click types of challenges.
The programmers use all of the original voices from the program, not some cheap dubbing.
The controls are pretty easy to pick up as well, and it only takes a few minutes to really learn the game and how to play. Some things that could use some more explaining, like learning how to pick up objects, can get a little frustrating now and then, but there are also plenty of simple point and click parts to the game. Some of the puzzles in the game are pretty easy though, I was hoping to spend a little bit more time trying to solve them. It is a relatively short game that can be completed in a single sitting. However, the game gets real in depth with all the characters, and it stays quite consistent with the show. All of show's
favorites are there: you get to see the farting grandma, Ajax, the twins and of course Duckman and Beatrice.
There’s some really good humor in this game too, not just crazy slapstick humor but something for intelligent minds, as well. There is a fair amount of political humor and plenty of celebrity imitations to keep you smiling. The graphics are cartoony as you would expect, but they are still drawn quite nicely for the time. It makes you wonder if it was drawn by the same artist who did the series, because it really makes you feel like you're watching an episode of the actual show. Duckman: The Legend of the Fall even have some of the old mysteries from the Duckman show where you and Corny can go and play against the Chicken King or some of the other more interesting villains. The mayor and his big breasted secretary are there as well. I thought the game was very well made and right on track with everything you would expect from a Duckman video game. There is a lot of nostalgia in Duckman: Legend of the Fall. It really brings back great memories of an even better show.
I would definitely recommend this game for any fans of Duckman; you will certainly not be disappointed.
