Framed is a great adventure game, which is possibly one of the most unique storylines that I have played in a game of its type. The game evolves around you playing the main character who has been framed for something which he did not do, and been imprisoned. Obviously, the ideal of the game is to get out of the jail, and ultimately obtain freedom.
The game itself plays as a platformer would, requiring the player to run and jump, and sometimes manipulate objects around themselves in order to progress in the game.

The game itself plays as a platformer would, requiring the player to run and jump, and sometimes manipulate objects around themselves in order to progress in the game. It takes a bit of thinking to get far in the game and this makes it challenging and, I must say, quite rewarding to the player who has the patience
and likes to think about what he or she is doing. Make no mistake, this is not a game where you mindlessly bash away at braindead morons that appear out of nowhere... I mean, sure, there may be some of those... even many... But the good thing about the game is the level of puzzle involved, and that you must search for items to progress in the game.
You will start off in a cell from memory, and then from there the player explores the insides of the prison, you can find certain items like drinks which will give you back health. Just watch out for any enemies and you will be totally fine. It’s not really brain surgery, but sometimes you might want to take things a little slower, rather than rush them and become a dead piece of dust on the ground.
I first played it in the mid nineties, I found no problems running it, although you might want a joystick if you are not familiar with playing on a keyboard. The sound is pretty average for games of this vintage, I can’t really recall the music, or if there was any. The actual sound effects are quite substantial, with the usual dull bleeps and other barely audible tones being emitted from your computer speakers. After a while you will most likely turn the sound off and turn media player up, that’s what I did recently when I was playing it. It’s not really the sound that makes the game interesting, it is the playability of it.
Overall it really truly is an excellent game and is one of my personal favorites, I like the way the older graphics look, these days game creators forget about playability and just throw as many pixels as possible into the mix and then hope for the best, and wonder why their game fails dismally. This game, however, is not one of these aforementioned games.
If you do decide to play it, just remember to save often, and use your brain or it is easy to become frustrated with the game. Sometimes I could play it for hours, and then I'd just find some little seemingly meaningless detail and then I would be through a certain section. There are plenty of those situations in this game.
Definitely an older time classic, you won’t regret downloading this one. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Thanks.
