Mission Critical is an adventure game that you will be taking the part of a survivor of the USS Lexington and the USS Jericho. These are two starships that have been sent off by the Alliance of Free States. You will be taking part in a secret mission to a world very far away from Earth. You’ve become the only person capably of doing this mission and saving thousands of star systems from being completely destructed.
In the beginning of the game you will start in the Lexington’s habitat module with a letter telling you what has happened and that you are now the only living crew member.

you don’t get on it. These consist of stopping the breach into the stateroom and the reactor that is beginning to melt through the ship both needed dealt with. After you’ve solved these two problems you will be able to get the ships functioning again allowing you to see the message from the executive officer of the Lexington. You are then required to fix the communications system and get in contact with the Alliance military which are currently located on the Erebus colony.
One of your objectives requires you to investigate what is going on in the world of Persephone. Aliens have run the planet. They may be able to assist in ending the war between the Alliance and the United Nations.
In this game you will be presented with two different available occurrences for the future events. These can consist of the UN winning the war you are taking place in, or where the Alliance take over and win. You will be the one who decides what is going to happen in the near future.
Mission Critical has many aspects of game play elements. Some of these can include a number of object puzzles; fiddle puzzles, very in depth conversations with characters, and by far a great real time strategy mini game. Your main goal is to defend the two ships from the very challenging enemy vessels. There are a few puzzles that have been timed, but the time limit isn’t a short time period so it does give you a chance to actually complete each puzzle.
The graphics that go along with this game are third dimensional which have been presented in static screen with animation between various areas. During the cut scenes you will be presented with a full screen video that has live actors. Most of the game is very highly detailed and have a lot of hand painted backdrops. With the amount of effort that has gone into the development of the graphical appeal in this game you know it will have a great plot to go along with phenomenal graphics.
Mission Critical is a great game in many aspects. There are so many things that can occur throughout game play that make this game a very adventurous game with a lot of unexpected happenings. With you being the only character capable of deciding the fate of the universe you know this game is serious. It may feel difficult at the beginning, but once you get playing the game will become simpler. Mission Critical is a phenomenal game in many ways and should definitely be played thousands of times.
