I can still remember the day my dad came home from work with Mixed Up Mother Goose in his briefcase. I was three at the time and was absolutely captivated from the moment the game started. This is definitely one game all parents should encourage their kids to play.
Made by Sierra, the same people who brought us King's Quest, Leisure Suit Larry and many more fantastic adventures, Mixed Up Mother Goose is a great first step into the world of adventure games.

Made by Sierra, the same people who brought us King's Quest, Leisure Suit Larry and many more fantastic adventures, Mixed Up Mother Goose is a great first step into the world of adventure games. Your child can play as themselves, with the ability to type in their name and pick which little boy or girl they would like to be. This adds a nice personal touch and allows your child to feel really involved in
the game, as each of the characters they meet will call them by name.
The game starts out with your child going to sleep. They then enter the land of dreams on a giant flying goose, who takes them to the land of nursery rhymes where something is very wrong. Your child will meet with Mother Goose who tells them that all her nursery rhymes are mixed up, and it is up to your child to fix them!
The game is set in huge, colorful world full of every nursery rhyme character your child could imagine. As you approach them they will tell you what they are missing (for example, little Bo Peep has lost her sheep) and your child must then wander around trying to find this item and return it to the character so their nursery rhyme can be completed. Once you achieve this goal the game will play the nursery rhyme for you, and that part of the quest will be completed.
The graphics and sound are quite good, considering the year this game was made in. However, if your child is too used to the flash graphics of the more recent games then there was a remake of the game made in 1996. The game is virtually the same, except the graphics and musical score are much improved.
Another great feature of this game is that it has wonderful replay value. Since the items your child must look for are placed randomly around the land of nursery rhymes, every time you start a new game they will be in a different place. This means that even if your child has completed the game, they can still go back and enjoy it again and again.
