Game Review (written by Eric) Added on: 01/14/2008
Detective games are cool because your intellect and instincts can be applied in the game and not just your quick reflexes. Good detective games are those with intelligent puzzles and clues that are also linked neatly to the game. Moonmist is one of the most interesting and engaging detective games of all time.
As a young detective, you need to help your friend Tamara Lynd who has written you a letter asking for help. Tamara was just engaged to Lord Tresyllian and has just moved in to the Lord’s castle.

As a young detective, you need to help your friend Tamara Lynd who has written you a letter asking for help. Tamara was just engaged to Lord Tresyllian and has just moved in to the Lord’s castle. You travel all the way to England to help your friend. The game starts with you standing in front of the Tresyllian Castle, a beautiful, old castle where your friend Tamara now lives.

Tamara comes out to greet you and as you enter the castle, you meet many more interesting characters who are all guests in the dinner that Tamara is hosting.
Tamara has written you a letter and invited you to her home because of a ghost also living in the castle. The ghost is bothering Tamara and she wants to know why.
Soon enough, you will be faced with riddles and other mysterious occurrences that will test your detective skills. There is a treasure hidden within the castle and it is up to you to solve the mystery of the ghost and the treasure. You must be careful in your quest as there are many obstacles in the castle apart from the ghost.
At the start of the game you have a choice whether to play as a male or a female detective and your choice will have an effect on how the characters will interact with you. You also have to choose at the start of the game what kind of game you want to play. Each game play you choose will have a different outcome so I recommend you try the other variations as well.
You must be very keen with the details. You can interact with all the guests to get more information and so that you can also have more fun in the game. You can also look at the items on the screen and just explore the castle. Some things might not make sense at first but in the end they will all come nicely together providing with an exciting and intelligent experience.
The game is a fun game that gamers of all ages would enjoy. I highly recommend it to everyone.
