Starfight VI: Gatekeepers

PC
Genre:  Adventure    |     Year: 2000    |     Publisher: Freeware     |     Developer: JP-Production
Game Review (written by Eric) Added on: 03/03/2008
The Starfight VI: Gate Keepers is the sixth game in the Starfight series. It is a sci-fi adventure game by JP Production. Because of the good mixture of space flight, puzzle-solving and exploration, the game has something to offer everyone from novice players to experienced gamers. The Starfight series is pretty popular because the games are all generally well made.
You will control the character of Captain Simon Miller, the captain of the MicroSpace Iron Curtain. He used to a starship captain but was demoted to transport ship captain not because of his own inefficiencies but to cover up for the incompetence of leaders.

You will control the character of Captain Simon Miller, the captain of the MicroSpace Iron Curtain. Captain Simon Fuller is now buried in debt and must work as transport ship captain to pay off debts that he has incurred

because of turning into gambling and alcoholism. Captain Simon Miller work for the transport company ANB. There are two factions when it comes to transport- ANB and The Order of Light. The two factions are actually against each other.
The graphics is well made. The spacecrafts and the background feature amazing details that really bring you into the game. The graphics is one of the strongest aspects of the game. The game can not compete with graphics of games that were just recently created but when it was first released the graphics worked well for the game.
The controls are very easy to learn but they are not so easy to manage. The controls are not smooth and it takes a bit of time to get used to. But once you’ve got the hang of the game, you won’t have too many problems with the game.
If you play the adventure mode, you will play in the first person perspective and you will be interacting with the other characters in the game. You will also need to solve puzzles which are all pretty well thought-out. The puzzles may not be extremely challenging but they are logical.
The game is unique and completely different from the Starfight games that came before it so even if you have had experiences playing the five other Starfight games that came before this one, you would still enjoy it.
I recommend this game for any player because it does have a good mix of adventure and puzzle-solving. It’s impossible to get bored with the game because of the good elements of the game. I suggest you download it now for many hours of gaming fun.
