I remember the first time I played this game so long ago. Being a fan of Crush, Crumble, and Chomp, I had great expectations for this game and was only a little disappointed. While, yes, it is fairly easy, it is great fun nonetheless... from the first human grabbed and ate to the last... this game will keep you entertained for hours just grabbing the hopeless humans and stuffing them down your throat. That is the point of the whole game.
You are a monster and you will be eating people. It is sort of cool to play as the bad guy once. It is a type of action shooter, only the targets are people.
The graphics are fair for it's time period and the sound effects are the same while not ranked on my highest of games to play. This is by far one of the best to relax after a hard day at work for completely brainless destruction and munching.
The ability to play this game with a friend is also a great addition to the game play and makes this game a must have for two player fun. Aargh offers competitive play. Try and out-munch and destroy your friend
on a complete romp of death and destruction. While single player mode is fun, this game is better played with two people... smash your buddy while trying to collect food and eggs to outscore your opponent, all the while trying to avoid catapults, mosquitoes, cannons, and many more.
Although this game is not as good as Crush, Crumble, and Chomp it is still fun to play from time to time to try and beat the high score and to dish out some death and destruction to all the natives and their buildings.
Just remember to keep an eye on your arch status once the whole name is spelled you will die and there are no multiple lives. Eat food and natives to regenerate your health; lightning bolts will regenerate your breath weapon and the eggs are for a secret level.
While this will not, in my opinion, be anyone’s favorite game it can be a lot of fun and does not require a lot of energy or thought to be able to play and be good enough to win the game. If you are looking for something that is mindless and very easy to play then, this game holds what you are looking for. But if you are looking for a game that is challenging to play with good graphics and sound then this game will not appeal to your desires. Overall I would like to mention yet again that this game will not be a game for everyone but if you are looking for something to pass away the time and need a game for two players that is different from most others this game will fit the bill.
