Abu Simbel Profanation Deluxe has been created from the previous game called Abu Simbel Profanation. The game has not been changed and the story is exactly the same as the previous version; just the graphics have been redone to a more finished look. This is a battle strategy game that revolves around the mythology of ancient Egypt.
The game was considered quite short compared to all the other strategy games created in the 80’s. There was a total of only fifty screens, but because of the level of difficulty that came along with this game, it seemed like it was taking just as long as the other games.
The game was very well put together just like the original. With no changes in the plot and all the changes being done to the graphical appeal, you still experience the original version with added armistices. Think of it like a colorized classic movie...all the same appeal as the original with a few more tweaks to make it more interesting.
To surpass each enemy you have different ways to do it. You must attempt jumping at the correct time selecting between the two available jumps which are the long jump and the short jump. You must have good coordination and you are pretty much risking it every time. The basic movements that occur with the enemies have not been changed as well
as the rest of the game with the upgrade!
The game in itself was based around the Egyptian times and you were trying to defeat a curse that has been put on yourself. The only way to surpass this curse was to take over the pyramid that is filled entirely with spiders, snakes, and a variety of several different enemies.
Abu Simbel Profanation Deluxe is a great remake of the original even though the plot hasn’t changed. This game can become quite difficult throughout, but it is also very enjoyable. The time period that the game takes place makes it quite interesting as well. With the added detail on all the graphics compared to the previous version you will enjoy the visual appearance of this game. Overall Abu Simbel Profanation Deluxe is a phenomenally developed game! I highly recommend it to everyone!
