I remember this good one from as a young man. What hours of fun I had on it one quarter went a long way. When it came out on PS I got it unfortunately it was destroyed by a very playful first born. The game though simple was a great arcade game that sucked you in for hours. Fast paced and responsive. The graphics were great. Only downside was they never made a improved on for today’s windows XP. I did finally get a hold of it through the MIME 32 underground and still play it today unfortunately the missile fire fails to work still trying to fix that.

What I liked the best was it was fast on the start
time no waiting for a lot of into junk and play was excitedly fast and continued to get harder until you died a fiery death by a sneaky missile up you after burner. The addition of night fighting adds more depth and added deftly. I would have liked though it to include may be a bombing phase. The dodging towers and canyons gets to the old fingers after a while causing a fiery crash. It has one excellent cheat giving you tons of missiles and lives. The trick to win is to first use the missiles if confronted by helicopters and the huge waves of fighters that come in fast and hard. Be careful the game likes to have one rip around you and flame your back side. Once you got one on your tail hit the after burners and run like crazy, remembering to doge and weave depending on the stage and level your on the fighters amount of missiles he has and time behind you; trying to flame you is directly proportional to the level your on. Believe me after level 16 you had will start to feel it.
The game supported mouse and early joysticks back then I never tried it on today’s XP so theirs the 1 and a million dollar question. Also beware even older computers like ones with 500 MHz - 1 MHz may cause like some old DOS games like clash of steel to freak out because their game clock is tied directly to the system clock causing failure at start up. But the game is based on an arcade game and so they tend not have the problem as much.
I was excited of this game! It’s really great! I recommend it as an addictive game.
