Arkanoid 2 is a classic arcade game that is apart of the Arkanoid series. As the player you will be in control of a paddle, which is preventing a ball from falling out of the playing field. You are trying to get a ball to hit a brick to get it to disappear. There are a bunch of bricks placed at the top of your gaming field that you are attempting to hit to continue on to the next level. Each level will have the bricks set up into different patterns.
The further along in the game, the more difficult the game will become. The bricks can vary in the number of times they have to be hit to get them to disappear. There are also several power ups that will increase your paddle in size, multiply the number of balls you have, or many other things that could happen.
The controls of the game can vary. There are the digital controls where you will be using a joystick or the keyboard and there are also the analogue controls which is the use of the mouse or if you have an older computer a trackball. The digital controls have a limitation on the speed while the analogue controls allow you to move at any desired speed across
the screen.
Arkanoid is very simple to play. The game is not too difficult at all. Many people will remember sitting playing this game for hours and then wondering why because of the simplicity that the game has. With the only task being to get all the bricks to disappear how complicated could it be? Well, don’t get me wrong; the game can have its hard aspects about it. Trying to aim your ball at that last brick on the entire screen and missing so many times can be the most frustrating thing to happen, but we all know you’ll hit it eventually. You wouldn’t expect a game like this to be one of the best games created next to Tetris, but it definitely was a great game and impossible to find a human being who’d never played this game at one point or another.
The graphics are also quite simplistic. The game doesn’t require too much in the graphical aspect. You’d be amazed though that with the number of patterns that have been placed into this game that there has been a lot of thinking when it came to the creation behind this game.
Arkanoid 2 has been a great addition to the gaming world. With it being the second part of the Arkanoid sequel you know that it is a great game, just because they had to create another. Throughout the many years since it has been created you will find many different re-makes of this game, but none will ever be like it. Arkanoid 2 is a great classic arcade game that you will be playing for many years to come.
