In Batman Forever: The Arcade Game, players can choose to be the caped crusader himself, Batman, or you can choose to be Robin. Not to be a spoiler, but just a hint: the game seems to go much better as Batman. Just like in the movie, the character you choose will be up against Two Face and The Riddler who are causing their usual mayhem in Gotham City. A good thing about Batman Forever: The Arcade Game is that the characters are good and there are good quotes from the movie, which helps to make it more interesting.
You move left to right in your combat with numerous enemies attacking you to try to get through to the next level. You will have access to some cool Batman-only weapons to use like Batarangs and bat grapples. But mostly you use the standard kicks and punches to bring your villains down and you can create your own combos as well. As you progress through the rounds, you collect power ups and have a boss villain to fight at the end of each level on your way to the ultimate battle with the Riddler himself.
In Batman Forever: The Arcade Game the gameplay is hectic with many of Two Face's gang members coming at you at once, making it hard
to use those special combination moves. As a matter fact it gets hard just to stay alive and not get confused with all this action going on at once. Finding the right key to land a combo will probably be just luck because you are tapping keys as fast as you can to stay in the game. Even through all this frantic action, it is not too difficult to obtain victory over the villains.
I recommend trying Batman Forever: The Arcade Game for yourself if you are a Batman fan or if you like the fast paced games with arcade style antics.
