Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure is an adventure game based on the movie of the same title. It's a pretty simple game, but it kept me entertained for a while, reminiscing about the movie and solving the puzzles along the way.
The premise of the game is the same as "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure" the movie: use a time-travelling phone booth to collect famous people from history so you can pass your final history assignment. You will play as the main characters, Bill and Ted, who are less than stellar students.
You can save your grades in history by visiting different locations throughout history, such as the wild west and ancient Greece, as well as many other great locales. You also have a time limit, so there are only so many visits you can make before the game ends. Along the way, you may need to collect various items to help you on your quest. Some of the people you need to collect require you to have certain objects in your possession before they will go with you.
You can play the game at different difficulty settings. This is a really excellent way to tailor the game to players of different ages, skill levels or patience amounts. With the easiest setting, completing the game
is a simple matter of collecting a few objects and then collecting the people you need. At harder settings, you might need to collect one object to then be able to obtain another one before you can even go and talk to an individual from history that you may need. This can present more of a challenging problem, with more difficult obstacles in your path.
The sound and graphics are good enough to keep you interested, as long as you're not too picky, and the gameplay is sufficiently challenging to keep things entertaining, particularly on the harder difficulty levels.
I would recommend this game to fans of the movie, or people who are looking for a fairly straightforward adventure game to play for a while. Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure does have some elements of education in it, with all the history lessons. The puzzles are fun and it is also entertaining for gamers with that quirky sense of humor that made games and movie's like this work. People who like to laugh are the ones with the most to gain from Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. Best of luck to you.
