Blood 2: The Chosen, a fast paced first person shooter with blood and gore a plenty. If you like exploding guts, bodies ripped to shreds, comedy, and unique weapons this is definitely the game to play. This game is very creative with it's language, storyline, and imagery. There are cult classic references all throughout the game whether it be reservoir dog movie posters, signs, dead bodies, certain weapons, or levels. The levels include dark alleys, Laundromat, museum, top secret science laboratory, office building, railroad station, a flying space station, and also back down to earth.

My favourite levels are definitely the museum and the office building. The comedy in it is also on par with that of Duke Nukem and that makes
the game worth while playing by itself. Little things you can read all throughout the game are why I play it over and over again. While playing pay attention to every detail because it takes things from other video games, movies, etc. It'll get you saying, "Hey, I remember that." The weapons you can obtain in this game are also very unique such as the spiked orb (think phantasm), voodoo doll, along with double brandishing weapons. Even to this day I like to pull it out and play it more so than others in the same genre. The enemies changed throughout the game starting off with humans then changing multiple times between zombies, humans, spectres, and other monsters.
The visual aspects of the game were impressive back in 1998 but as of today they are pretty weak. That really doesn’t matter when you can disembowel, decapitate, and kick their heads around like soccer balls. The environment is very interactive with the player and many secret passages can be opened. Blowing your way through walls also gives a slight sense of satisfaction. The only thing I hated about this game is those face huggers uggh.
Beware of the sewers and bathrooms, because that's where these damn alien-sequel face huggers dwell.
