For one who has recently played Charlie the Duck for the first time (it having no nostalgic value of any sort) I would say that it is not worth downloading. This kind of game is sort of old news, everything has been copied from other games like Mario and Sonic, though instead of a really fast hedgehog, or a short Italian guy, it is a duck that you play. Still for one who has played and beat almost every sonic game known to man it may be nice to have something that you haven’t already done.
"Charlie" is going through levels attempting to collect as many diamonds and other similar items as he can. similar to other games the duck kills the bad guys (mainly bumble bees, frogs and other such creatures that are normally harmless to ducks but are the run of the mill "bad guys" in these games) by jumping on them and instead of turning into cute little chickens and bunny rabbits like in a game featuring a certain hedgehog they die!
One thing that bothered me about this game is the lack of storyline, while most arcade games like this have some kind of reason to dispatch of the creatures you run into, Charlie the duck has no apparent reason to be shamelessly trampling these normally docile
creatures. This game has no doctor robotnick to propel the hero onward but just the desire to finish what you started will keep you playing this game and I personally found it kind of boring to not know where the game will end, or if it ever will end.
One aspect of this game that I liked is when one pushed the down arrow key in certain ponds the duck will dive under the water and pop out in a different level.
All in all, give it a shot.
