Chex Quest 3 is the next instalment in the Chex Quest promotional game series. While not truly a sequel as it requires the original to play, it does incorporate new gameplay but the same engine and system.
In Chex Quest 3 you play the Chex Warrior, you must send the Phlegm monsters back into their own dimension using 'Zorchers.' Gameplay is very similar to Doom due to the fact that it's basically just a Doom mod. Through the game you fight different phlegm monsters such as a flying Cycloptis (replacing the pink demon from Doom) and the Bipedicus (replacing the shotgun guy).

There are many breakfast and chex based power ups such as glasses
of water, bowls of fruit, slime repellent and super chex armour. If you are a younger gamer or you can humour the childish nature of the weapons and enemies, it plays very similar to Doom. Albeit a lot easier, especially if you, like me, were really fond of Doom and progressed far into the game.
Most of the puzzles involve getting blue, red, and yellow keys in order to open the respective doors, there are secrets as well which often give a large advantage in a quite easy game. Still, if you play on a high difficulty the game is enjoyable, the sounds of slurps and squishes as you destroy the green phlegm monsters are quite unique, and the weapons are slightly different to Doom's making finding the latest Zorcher quite enjoyable.
The irony of a child-like doom is quite enjoyable and I recommend this game to any fans of the series, however I'd say to start with Doom or Doom II unless the gore bothers you which in that case this game is a great choice.
