When I saw the name of this game I asked myself, “Is this really about hunting cows?” Yes and no…as it is not much of a hunt, as they basically come to you, but cows will become dead meat in this absolutely hilarious arcade game.

Cowhunter is a crazy arcade game full of silly cows playing hide and go shoot with you, or zooming through the air. Your goal is to make hamburger out of them. Told you this wasn’t for vegetarians. Some might say this is a plain, boring shooting game, but I’m sorry, this game is too funny to be anything near plain and boring.
Cows are your targets! And you even get to go cow tipping.
Obviously a game like this has to have easy gameplay. Luckily not much strategy is involved in gunning down a cow. But this game sure makes it comical to take down Bessie. You have to find some hilarity in the fact that one of the weapons you have is called the Cowabunga Rifle and another is called the Mooozi Machine Gun. I guess they couldn’t think of another funny name, because your other weapon is called a Super Mag Pistol.
There are three individual games you can choose to play. One game is skeet shooting. Think of Duck Hunt on Nintendo (man I ruled at that game…still have it packed away, including that orange gun!). Cows will fly, yes fly, across the sky in three different locations. It’s up to you to aim and shoot them down. You even get a bonus Hamburger in this game. The more you collect, the more points you get. Gameplay is very easy…just point and click to bring down the bovines.
Another game you can play is target practice. The cows will peek around the barn doors or pop up from behind haystacks. Again, easy gameplay since it’s nothing but point and click.
And as for my favourite game: cow tipping. Great for those chickens out there who won’t get near a real cow to do this. A floating hand is your guide to get these cows while they are snoozing. But watch out, because if you don’t have a cow that’s fully asleep, it will lift its tail and fire dung at you. Eww. At least you can try to stop it from hitting you if you can click on it before it gets to you.
This cute game can become a favourite for adults and kids, too, as the violence is all done with humour—nothing gruesome as in some war games. If you are ready to put some cows out to pasture, then start downloading.
