Game Review 1 (written by Kakumei) Added on: 05/15/2007
Dangerous Dave is a classic game. It's sort of like another "Jump man" Game, which is referring to Mario, except you can actually shoot your enemies with weapons instead of just jumping on them. It's a pretty simple, straight, fun game. You can collect diamonds for extra credit points, but that's only if you want to get the high score or something. The levels are pretty fun and sort of challenging, but it doesn't stop there.
The graphics are sort of like an old Sega genesis game, like all classic games almost are always like.

One thing that could be fun is the exploding noises. They aren't “hip hip horray” excitable, but they make you feel happy after a while. What would make it more

entertaining is if you try to collect all the diamonds before passing the level, since it leaves you open for attack and to lose a life.
All in all, Dangerous Dave is a pretty fun classic game that you wouldn't want to miss, especially if you are a Mario classic fan. I assure you this game will remind you of all the other side scrolling games that you've played in your childhood memories. Have fun with it!

Game Review 2 (written by Twistedsniper) Added on: 03/17/2007
This is a great plat former for all ages. It’s the kind of game that everyone can enjoy. The levels are fun to look at as well as to maneuver through. You collect diamonds and don’t touch anything animated (fire, water, purple tentacles). There are different types of levels as well like the ones with no obstacles where you just go for diamonds. You have to get the trophy to go through the doors. After a couple levels you run into enemies, but are also given a gun. This is the most unrealistic shooting ever, but still lots of fun.
Also the progression of difficulty is well done so that it isn’t difficult or too easy. The controls are simple to get used to with the usual keys being involved. While it may not be a famous game, it is one of the best I ever played. Even when it gets frustrating, you can’t help but keep going. One level with Frisbees sticks out in my mind as one of these moments. The hardest thing about the game is learning to jump just right. After a while the spaces where you can land tend to be quite small. Even though my games have moved forward with the times, my heart stays with this game.
If you like classic plat formers or want to introduce your kids to what a good game really is you should get this game. If you want to have hours of fun, it’s for you. I highly recommend downloading it!

A fun little time sink. Watch out or else you'll quickly loose track of all time.

Good game that sends me back to the 2-d days of arcade games. Only after playing it for about an hour did it become boring. I will leave it on my system for my youngest son to play since it is an innocent game.
