Dark Vengeance

PC
Genre:  Arcade    |     Year: 1999    |     Publisher: GT Interactive     |     Developer: Reality Bytes
Game Review (written by Eric) Added on: 02/14/2008
Dark Vengeance is a third person shooter game that was released by GT Interactive and was created by Reality Bytes. The game actually combines good action adventure with a shooter game to create a rich game that allowed you to explore your surroundings and go in combats against enemies.
At the start of the game, you will be given a choice between three characters a warrior, an assassin and the blind mage. The warrior can cause the most damage because it fierce. The assassin is a woman and her strongest suite in close contact fighting.

The assassin is a woman and her strongest suite in close contact fighting. She may not be strong and fierce but she is very fast and is very good at dodging. The blind mage is fast but can not cause as much

damage as the two other characters. He is most effective when fighting from a long range. After he attacks from a range he can easily dodge enemy attacks.
If you try to play all the characters you will realize that the beginning of the game plays out differently for the three characters but once you get to the second level, the game is pretty much the same for all characters.
The game plays out like Tomb Raider in the sense that it is not fast-paced but still able to generate enough excitement for the player. The enemies don’t attack you from out of nowhere, like in arcade games they sort of slowly walk to you and then suddenly attack when you are already within close range. To get off each level you need to find a key that opens the door to the next level. This is why you need to explore your surroundings.
The graphics of the game are great. The music is acceptable and works nicely with the game.
The game runs pretty smoothly which makes it a satisfying game. The controls are easy to learn and the animation works seamlessly so the game gives you a fantastic experience.
The game featured good combats and the game has good challenges that keep you excited enough to want to continue playing the game for many, many hours.
The game is really good and I consider it a favorite. I don’t think this game can cause any frustrations or disappointments for anyone, it’s simply fantastic.
